This station is category A. Ramped access is provided from the station entrance to all platforms. This station is partially staffed. There are train boarding ramps available at this station, and they are also carried on board all TransPennine Express trains.

.Outside of Ticket office staffing hours, customers should wait on the platform and make themselves known to the train crew when the train arrives.
Replacement coaches depart outside the Ferry Inn on Station Road.
